EXPECTO PATRONUM!!!

(That is me imitating the face that Harry makes when he does the patronus charm in movie 3)

I bet the person who gave Kat that snuggie never expected it to be used like this.

I have nothing to say except...

Today, Angela, Andrew, and I were all in Andrew's car, when we drove up to Angela's house to drop her off.

In her yard stood a big cross.

Then, all three of these things were said at once:

"That looks like a hate crime waiting to happen"
"Is there going to be a crucifixion in your yard?"
"We really need to hang up that scarecrow!"

I love my friends!

"Where no one knows my name..."

Kit Kat visited from Boston (where she goes to school) this weekend for Tiger Lily's wedding. OHHHH MY GOSH I had no idea how much I missed her until I saw her on Saturday. Thanksgiving is the next time she will be home, and even though that is only about a month away, I just can't wait. I miss my soul-same, my Kitty Powers. hahahaha. Anyway, everytime I hear the song "Boston" by Augustana, I think of her, and thinking of how I missed her inspired me to listen to that song, which inspired that title.

Speaking of Tiger Lily's wedding, everything was absolutely gorgeous. The day was sunny, the church was beautiful, she was beautiful, the cake was beautiful, the bridesmaids were beautiful...everything. I'm so happy for her!

I'm in the process of scheduling classes for next semester, and it is very exciting and very frustrating at the same time! Next semester, I'll take instructional techniques, tech, and do my honors project, and then in the fall I'll student teach. It's so happy to finally see an end to school. I like that I am at the point where I am planning lessons and such that I'll probably be using someday in my classroom. I'm planning on taking the Praxis in January, which is a scary thought, but otherwise I can't wait until I have my own class with my own rules and lessons.

I keep thinking of things to type, but then I suddenly get distracted by texts from my bff. At least it is making my office hour pass a little faster. The last text said "Is this what seperation anxiety looks like?"

Well, last week I downloaded the new Relient K cd, and now that I have had sufficient time to listen to and judge it, I can say I'm not overly impressed. I was so pumped about this music, too, because I read that Theissen wrote it all Walden-style and he went out to a cabin in the woods, made like Henry David Throeau, and wrote the entire album. All the songs are sad and break-up-y. Isn't he married? This makes me sad that if he is still married, that the songs are all, well, kind of fake emotions.

I'm getting a little bored of the older header on this blog, and may make a new one. But I can't decide which quote to use or anything! It's a tough decision!

That is all for now. It's almost time for class, and after class I have a Girl Scout Halloween/Juliette Low birthday celebration to attend!

Happy Sweetest Day!

"When I'm with most people, I'm embarrassed of my Pokemon knowledge, but not in this house..."
"You're embarrassed that you don't know as much as us!"

After 3 months of living with these people, I can honestly say I never expected to talk about Pokemon this much in my entire life...let alone on a daily basis. The good news is that we're getting along fine. So many people warned me about how bad it is to live with friends, and how we won't be friends when we move out, but at this point, I kind of doubt that.

Well, I should start this post out by saying I have absolutely no idea why I am up so early. My body woke me up about 7:45, which made me a little sad. During the week, I alternate between waking up at 6 and 7, and the one day I get to sleep in a little, I barely get past that point.

Today is Tiger Lily's wedding! I'm so happy for her. I have no doubts that her and Jared are going to have a great life together. It's going to be so great to see everyone together at this wedding. It will be like a mini reunion :)

The hype about the swine flu has me a little scared. I've heard a lot of people telling me they've known people who have had it. My mom was telling me she knows a family that were sick, so she called the doctor to make an appointment, and the doctor said not to come in because it sounded like the swine flu. He didn't want them to infect everyone in the office, so he just prescribed them stuff over the phone. That's some crazy stuff.

Classes are pretty stressful, but at least we've hit the halfway point. Next semester will be much easier. I'm loving the writing lab this semester. Yesterday, a student legitimately told me he had fun. I'm glad I can make tutoring fun.

I miss camp more every single day! I miss my friends so much. Eagle and I can't go a few hours without some sort of contact. I think Hallmark is also getting a good amount of money from us and the number of cards we send. Blondie and Eagle are coming to Ohio for New Years, and hopefully I can convince Elmo too! It will be so nice to see everyone again. I'm getting myself to reunion this year-no matter what!

That's all for now. I still have to find something to wear today...that sound be fun.
